I told a friend who lives in Paris that we went and saw the Catacombs that day. He told me that they run under the entirety of the city and that there are huge rave/dance/trance parties held in these great underground caverns that have been long abandoned. The only way to access them is to drop down into the sewerage pipes, where you find yourself waist deep in bore water, and then you must wade through the tunnels and caves until you find these legendary parties. Many people drop acid and just wig the fuck out down there.
Many go down and can never find their way back out.
I'm glad I heard this AFTER seeing them.
