So you may remember at the beginning of the year back I hyped Blood Orange's 'Dinner' for it's 80s power disco funk goodness. Well now this ex-LIGHTSPEED CHAMPION is back with a fully fledged album, 'Coastal Grooves' that's full of smooth but temperamental, electronic American swing and swagger with heart angst-ing lyrics consisting of a healthy mix of love and loss and loneliness. Better yet, Mr Devonte Hynes is playing Goodgod next Thursday night the 5th of Jan for a smidgening 30 dowlahz! My tickets have been purchased and I am there. Looking forward to a good coastal groove, good GAWDness me!
